About the Event

Dear Friends,

Lama Tendar has expressed his wish that the Monday class developed by our beloved late Ani Drolma continue at our Centre, so that her teachings and intention may live on. We are pleased to share that the class will recommence fortnightly from Monday, 2 February 2026, and will be taught by Ani Dechen.

The class will maintain the familiar structure lovingly established by Ani Drolma, including:

  • group discussion on applying Buddhist teachings to cultivate a meaningful and happy life

  • use of the Buddhist Oracle deck to support and enrich the discussion

  • chanting from the daily prayer book

All are most welcome. Zoom attendance will also be available.

Who Can Attend?

The course is suitable for all who are interested in Buddhism but have not done much structured practice, or who are attracted by Buddhist philosophy but have not had the opportunity to explore further. We will be using the oracle cards and accompanying explanatory booklet, written by Lama Tendar and Ani Dechen, as thought-starters for our dialogue. This 52 card deck is our text, if you like, for this course; the authors’ wish for this deck of cards is to “be a good companion in your journey of developing a loving heart.”

What Do I Need To Bring?

An open mind, the willingness to listen deeply and “try on” different ways of thinking, being and doing and a deep respect for others and their journey. You will need to purchase a pack of the Buddhism – The Science of Peace and Happiness cards. (Available at the gompa, on our website or at all good book stores).
