After 4 years, Lama Tendar will be taking a group on pilgrimage to India to pay homage to Buddha in the land of Enlightenment. This is a deeply sacred and spiritual journey with a Buddhist monk and Buddhist practitioners. 

Highlights include visiting the Mahabodhi temple in Bodhgaya to pay respect to Buddha, meditation and chanting under the Bodhi tree and by the stupa. 

We visit Nalanda and Rajagir and surrounding areas including Siranard in Varanasi, followed by a trip to Dharamsala to visit the Tibetan settlement at McLeod Ganj and Gyuto Monastery.

Bodhgaya - Varanasi - Delhi - Dharamsala - Delhi

Daily Activities

• meditation and chanting with Lama Tendar, visiting temples, making offerings , receiving dharma teachings from Lama Tendar.

Contribution : $6000

Cost includes :

• Accommodation in Bodhgaya, Varanasi, Dharamsala; 
• Flights from Varanasi - Delhi, Dharamsala - Delhi;
• Bus from Delhi - Dharamsala, 
• Taxi from Gaya - Varanasi and around Bodhgaya and airport transfers; 
• All entry fees to temples and museums. 

Cost does not include food, international flights (from Australia to India), India visa and travel insurance.

Please note tour starts in Gaya and ends in Dharamsala. 

You are responsible for booking your ticket from Australia to Gaya international airport and from Delhi back to Australia.

Please also note that “an airline restriction of 15kg” applies on all Indian domestic flights. You are required to pay the extra cost in luggage if you require more than the standard airline allowance.  Please let us know if you require extra luggage allowance at time of booking.

A deposit of $1000 is required at time of booking and there is no refund once booking of internal flights commences.
