About the Event

Dear Sangha,

Upon request, Lama will lead a three-day Nyun Nee retreat practicing Avalokiteshvara in May. During the retreat, each practitioner is required to chant compassion mantra 100,000 times. Practitioners will do 35 Buddha confession practice while performing prostrations.

During this retreat practitioners observe Nyun Nee vows which are mainly Bodhisattva vows. During the three-day retreat, there are also commitments regarding food and drink intake. On the first day, only one meal (lunch) is allowed, on the second day no food and drink are allowed, and on the third day, a morning meal after sun rise is allowed. If you have health concerns, please talk to Lama for special permission regarding food and drink intake.

This is a great practice for purifying negative karmas especially those causing hunger and starvation. This is a chance to experience the suffering of beings in lower realms and thus cultivating great compassion.

This is a sponsored event. You are invited to generate merits for yourself and loved ones by sponsoring the event in your own name or in the names of your loved ones.

If you really want to participate in this retreat but unable to come to the Frankston Centre, you can join in via zoom, upon permission from Lama. It is important that you observe all the commitments of the retreat if you join via zoom.
