About the Event
Dear Dharma Friends,
Some members of the Sangha have expressed interests in taking refuge in the Three Jewels. Lama Tendar has therefore kindly offered to give a one-day teaching on taking refuge, followed by a half-day ceremony of taking refuge in Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
This teaching is suitable for all who are interested in Buddhist teaching and practice, especially those who intend to take refuge in the Three Jewels. For those who have already taking refuge in the Three Jewels, it is a good opportunity to learn more about how to practice taking refuge in your daily practice. If you have already taken refuge, you can participate in the ceremony again for blessing.
This is followed by the actual Taking Refuge on 30/11/25.
The contents of the teaching are the following:
1. The meaning of taking refuge in Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
2. The benefits of taking refuge.
3. The necessary training and practice to cultivate after taking refuge in the Three Jewels.
4. The process of taking refuge.
5. What to prepare before taking refuge.
