Bardo prayers may be requested for loved ones who have passed away. These prayers are offered under the guidance of Lama Tendar at the Medicine Buddha Centre, with the aspiration to support the deceased on their journey towards a favourable rebirth and liberation.
 
Bardo is the state between death and rebirth. Bardo prayers are very beneficial for the deceased during the 49-day transition time. It’s the most wonderful care you can offer to your deceased loved one. This virtuous action brings peace and higher rebirth to the deceased, it also brings harmony to the whole family.
 
Guiding prayer during death process and Phowa prayer (This can happen in hospital or home. The prayers create a peaceful and virtuous state for the passing person.) 
Funeral service (Monks and Nuns will perform ritual prayers for purification, making offerings to elements, for releasing attachment, etc.  Family can take this opportunity to pay respect and offer compassion to the deceased.)
49-day daily bardo prayers (Monks and Nuns chant prayers providing continued energy support so as to elevate the consciousness of the deceased. Make special offerings of nurturing subsistences for the deceased. )
7th day prayers for transference of consciousness to pure land (This service purify negative karma and obscurations, and elevate the consciousness for transference to pure land. The deceased experience a cycle of unconscious and waking up every 7 days. In Tibetan tradition, the 7th, 28th, and 49th day are good opportunities for generating and dedicating good merits and thus elevating the consciousness for transference to pure land.)
