About the Event

On behalf of the Medicine Buddha Centre, Lama Tendar would like to wish everyone a Happy Losar, "Year of the Wood Dragon".

We are rejoicing in the fact that the Centre is growing and producing serious Buddhist practitioners (having successfully completed 2 Highest Yoga Tantric Retreats of Yamantaka in 2 years), and it is now clearly evolving into a Centre for Buddhist Tantric studies and practice.

Thank you to all our sponsors and beautiful Sangha for your ongoing support.

We look forward to a future where more monks and nuns can join us at our centre which will become a Buddhist Monastery one day, to realise our goal of benefiting as many sentient beings as possible, and spreading Peace, Happiness and prosperity to the world.

In celebration of Losar, Lama Tendar will be doing morning prayers  on the 10th February.

You are invited to come to the Centre and join in the celebrations.   Tibetan tea and rice will be served afterwards.

You are invited to celebrate Tibetan Lunar New Year (Losar) “Year of the Wood Dragon”, with Lama Tendar at the Medicine Buddha Centre.

In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, during Losar, it is customary to visit the Temple, pay homage to Buddha, to Lama, to your Teachers; make offerings to our teachers in gratitude for teaching us the path to enlightenment, request their blessings, teachings and personal advice.

This is a great opportunity for our Sangha to accumulate pure merit by making prostrations, offerings, requesting, beseeching, rejoicing and dedicating on the occasion of Losar. It is important as a Sangha, to focus our prayers in cultivating positive healing energy to heal the world and dedicate our prayers for World Peace.  This is the time to let go of the old and bring in new, fresh energy for the New Year.
