Changes to Dharma Teaching Classes

Dear Friends,

We have just finished studying chapter four of Master Aryadeva’s four hundred stanzas, refuting wrong views about pride.

We will continue to study this supreme text, especially the chapters about overcoming anger and desire.

Because the class now takes longer for Ani Dechen to prepare (6-8 hours for each class), we will run the class fortnightly.

The plan for the coming months are the following:

6th and 20th May: law of Karma. Weight of karma; effects of karma; done and accumulated karma; timing when karma matures. Reference is Lam Rim by Lama Tzong Khapa.

From 3rd June for about 12 classes: what Master Aryadeva said about overcoming anger and desire in the four hundred stanzas. We will continue to practice and learn about calm abiding meditation in the beginning of each class, followed by cultivating great compassion with special insight meditation. So there will be no class coming wed on 29th April. Fortnight classes will start 6th May. In the weeks when there’s no wed classes, there will be the Monday classes: applying Buddhist teachings in meeting daily life challenges with the aid of Buddhist oracle cards.

Looking forward to seeing you all in classes.
